I actually read 50 books this year! That is huge for me. Typically I am lucky to read one or two. I listened to quite a few on audio while I was working. I really enjoyed a lot of books by Lisa Jewell and Freida McFadden. Watch the video to find out my top three reads this year at the end of the video.

Merry Christmas! Hope you have a great day with your friends and family as you celebrate the birth of our Saviour.

Confession: This year, Christmas has been a little weird for me. It has been really hard to get into the Christmas Spirit. We are still in our short-term rental while our house is being repaired (non-storm-related damage from before the hurricanes). This is my first Christmas without Barnaby (my cat). Plus holidays are still really weird without my Dad and now Papa, and to top it off, I was laid off right before Thanksgiving.

So yeah, to say that this has been a weird holiday season is an understatement.

I know my joy doesn't come from all of those things, I know my joy comes from Jesus Christ and his redeeming love. But, sometimes, it is hard to hold onto that. It has definitely been a struggle. I am so thankful though, that no matter how hard I struggle, Jesus is still there with me, by my side, never leaving me as I go through life's hardships.

I am thankful to have a Saviour who doesn't give up on me. I am also thankful for a church family, friends, and actual family who are there for me in these weird times and who love and support me. Especially my Mom. And now my new kitty, Millie, who woke me up this morning with Christmas cuddles.

So if you are having a weird Christmas too or have been struggling just to get into the Christmas Spirit, remember you have a Saviour who doesn't leave your side and will walk with you every step of the way and He is the reason we are celebrating Christmas today.
